Ms. Richards is offering flute lessons to all levels, beginning, intermediate and advanced. She teaches classical flute technique including solo repertoire, etudes, duets and chamber music.
Rosalind is presently flute coach at the New Youth Orchestra in Sorrento Valley and has been flute coach for Artistry in Music for 15 years.
A speciality of Rosalind’s flute lessons is to prepare her students for county-wide Honors Band, San Diego Youth Orchestra and New Youth Orchestra auditions.
Ms. Richards has nurtured many outstanding young flutist entering them into MTAC and Flute Guild competitions where she is an flute adjudicator. Many of her students have gone on to become professional flutist winning Competitions and scholarships and playing in the New Youth Orchestra and San Diego Youth Orchestras.
Ms. Richards accepts students of all ages, playing abilities, and interest levels. She provides a comprehensive evaluation and customizes a unique and dynamic teaching plan to meet each student’s needs and desires.
Rosalind presently teaches at Rhoades Gifted School where she has taught for 10 years and taught at Villa Musica for 8 years. In addition, she conducts a Flute Ensemble previously at class at Mesa College. Her ensemble has performed at several libraries in San Diego such as Encinitas Public Library, Dove Library and the Athenaeum.
Rosalind also is the Principal Flutist for La Jolla Symphony and Villa Musica Orchestra and is presently playing freelance with Del Mar Trio and concertizing.
